Your Questions

100, 150 and 250 Coins

100 coins: $770, $5.50 a coin plus the $220 mold. 150 coins: $1,045, $5.50 a coin plus the mold. 250 coins: $1,495, $5.10 a coin plus the mold. Shipping to Chicago and any sales tax are added at checkout. Any other quantity is priced in the cart above.

What the Price Covers

The coins, the one-time mold, the artwork and production files, the 3D sculpting, the black, maroon and navy enamel, the full color print, and a clear vinyl pouch with a printed insert card for every coin. Shipping to Chicago and any sales tax are calculated at checkout.

Mold Charge

$220, once. It covers the sculpted dies for both faces and the print setup, and it is waived on orders of 300 coins or more. Your mold stays on file, so a reorder of the same coin is coins only.

Recommended Build

2 inches at 4 mm, antique gold, 3D relief with soft enamel and full color print, smooth edge. The sunrise, the buildings and the gardens carry too much shading for enamel alone, so they are printed over the sculpted relief, where the depth stays. The black ring, the shields and the maroon and navy puzzle pieces are soft enamel, and the lettering and the six-pointed stars stay raised antique gold. For production, the puzzle outlines are drawn as closed raised lines thick enough to hold the enamel at 2 inches, and the smallest pieces near the building are enlarged or merged.

The Missing Puzzle Piece

Priced as you asked: a recessed antique gold detail set into the roadway on each face. A through-cut that runs clean through the coin can be added as an option. It needs the missing piece on the back moved so it lines up with the front; we would redraw that and quote it separately.

Proofs and Revisions

Digital proofs are included, with unlimited revisions during design. You approve the final proof, every letter, star, color and puzzle piece, before production begins.

Sample Before Production

Striking even one finished coin means cutting the die and setting up the full run, so a physical sample is in effect the start of production. In its place, you approve this 3D proof now, and after your order we design the mold and send you the final die files to look over for any last changes before production begins.

Timeline

Production and delivery run about 3 to 4 weeks from approval and payment.

Quality Control

Every coin is inspected by hand before it is packed.

Reorders

Your mold stays on file. A reorder of the same coin carries no mold charge: you pay the per-coin price for the quantity, shown on the reorder line in the cart.
